Dr. Jeremy George grew up living on the water in Panama City Beach, Florida. The youngest of four siblings, he and his brother and sisters spent most of their time on the beach or playing in the woods. During all his adventures in nature, he gained a great appreciation of all the creatures he encountered, this lead him to volunteer at the local zoo and marine park. He began to work with a marine institute where he would help with marine animal stranding and rehabilitation.

Dr. George attended Eckerd College where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in chemistry. Over the next four years, Dr. George worked as a chemist for a defense contractor and joined a small toxicology and pharmacogenetics company before enrolling in Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. While in veterinary school he continued his work with marine animals by completing multiple internships with SeaWorld Orlando and Gulf World Marine Park. In addition, Dr. George worked in Auburn’s clinical pharmacology lab where he researched endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids in dogs.

His special interests include marine animal medicine, wildlife rehabilitation, surgery, and clinical pathology/pharmacology. In his free time, he enjoys being outside or on the water – surfing, fishing, camping.
